Como 1907 signs Serie B midfielder Matilde Fadini

Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing, on a one-year contract, of midfielder Matilde Fadini

Matilde joins Como after an excellent season in Serie B with the jersey of Freedom F.C.

Born in 2001, Matilde grew up in Real Meda and Milan Ladies Academy, before making her debut in Serie B with Riozzese during the 2020/21 season.

In the Serie B championship, she also wore the jerseys of Sassari Torres and Como Women, registering over 100 appearances.

Heather O’Reilly, recently announced as the driving force behind the ambitious project to bring Como 1907’s Women’s team to Serie A, commented: “Matilde is a very experienced player. We needed a player like her, gritty and strong, who has more than 100 appearances in Serie B.‘’.

After signing for the club, Matilde said: “I have a very positive feeling. I believe that this club is an excellent model for the growth of women’s football in Italy. I expect to play, improve and grow until I reach the Serie A with Como 1907.”
