Como 1907 signs forward Marta Formento

Como 1907 is delighted to announce the signing of Italian forward Marta Formento on a one-year contract.

Born in 1997, Marta is a winger who honed her skills in the Milan Ladies academy.

In 2019 she moved to Calcio Vittuone before returning to Milan Ladies in 2020, wearing the captain’s armband of the first team.

From 2021 to 2023 she wore the Varedo jersey before joining Accademia Milano in Eccellenza last season.

Heather O’Reilly, recently announced as the driving force behind the ambitious project to bring Como 1907 Women’s team to Serie A, commented: “Marta is a pacey winger with a big desire to learn and improve. She is gritty and works very hard”.

After signing for the club, Marta said: ’’I am thrilled to be here at such an ambitious club. Here I found a united and inspiring group, which is important to achieving our goals. I can’t wait to get started to grow and play to win right away”.
