Como 1907 signs defender Letizia Pede from Sassuolo

Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of defender Letizia Pede from Sassuolo on a one year contract.

Born in 2004, Letizia came through Sassuolo’s youth academy, where she began her football career at the age of twelve.

During the 2023/24 season, Letizia achieved a historic milestone with Sassuolo, reaching the national final of the Primavera 1 League.

Heather O’Reilly, recently appointed as the architect behind the ambitious project to elevate Como 1907 Women’s team to Serie A, commented: ‘’Letizia is an excellent defender, but more than that she is a good character for a team. She has a lot of leadership qualities that will help our young team remain focused on our goals”.

After signing for the club, Letizia said: “I have only been here for a little over a week, but the feelings are already very good. The level is high and it will be exciting to be part of this prestigious project. The club believes a lot in the women’s project and I can’t wait to start this journey, to grow together with this club with the aim of winning and setting more and more prestigious goals!”
