Como 1907 Appoints Ian Torrance as Head of Recruitment

Como 1907 is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Torrance as the club’s new Head of Recruitment. Torrance joins us from Southampton FC, where he served as Chief Scout, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our club.

During his tenure at Southampton, Torrance played an integral role in player identification and recruitment. Working with various Directors of Football and First Team Managers, he helped in leading the scouting group, both domestically and internationally and has extensive knowledge of players across multiple markets including in Europe, South America and North America.

Commenting on his appointment, Ian Torrance said: “I am so pleased to be joining Como 1907 and to be part of one of the most exciting projects in European football. My journey in professional football has been driven by a passion for scouting and recruitment. From my time at Southampton FC, I’ve honed my skills in player identification and recruitment strategy and believe in creating a full 360 view of players. I’ve built a vast network within the football industry and am committed to bringing my expertise to Como 1907. Having seen the progression of the club, met the staff, I am excited to work with the current and very talented scouting group and to contribute the the clubs success and our ambitious goals.”
